Kalihi

I spent my elementary school years in Kalihi and couldn't be prouder. I went to school among a variety of students of different ethnic backgrounds, kids of Filipino, Samoan, Japanese, Chinese and Hawaiian ethnicities to name a few. With that experience I learned to respect the cultures of other races, and to embrace diversity.

Kalihi is still considered 'Honolulu' and you can still find reasonably priced real estate here. It is a mere 20 minutes away from the airport, downtown area, or the Windward side.
